Hi, this is my rant about something that has been bothering me for a couple years now. I have been reading fics for about 6 years, and have even written several under another name in that time. Each time I would post a fic, I have received positive feed back from the readers which has been very nice to get.

What bothers me though is the other end of the spectrum. You know what I mean. Those people who read a fic and then do nothing but bitch about it!

99% of the fics I have read will have a disclaimed in it, and most list pairing that the author will be writing about, yet STILL people who don’t care for that pairing will read it, and then say something along the lines of ‘I hate x/y as a couple, you should do m/n instead’. Or, ‘your writing sucks, I’m not going to read this.’ And low and behold, the next time the author posts ‘idiot’ responds yet again.

I’m sorry, but that just pisses me off to no end! If someone doesn’t like a fic, DONT READ IT! What is the point of reading a fic just to complain?

Feed back is a good thing, but if people are going to respond, don’t bitch! Tell the author what you like, how they can improve, or if they ask, maybe give them a well thought out fic idea. Feed back is meant to HELP a person improve their writing, not as a means to bash a writer!

Personally, I like a well thought out plot with action and character development. Some stories move faster then others, and sometimes I might find it hard to wade through a couple of chapters that seem to drag before the main plot is revealed, but I don’t discourage a writer.

There are several excellent authors, or stories that I love, but most times, I dont respond because I tend to read to many and fin myself at a loss for time to reply, but I can honestly say, I have NEVER left an author feed back saying ‘Do this!’ or ‘Your writing sucks.’ Because that is NOT WHAT FEEDBACK IS FOR!

Sorry about that, but, I had to say it. Agree, disagree, thats your opinion. To those whos fics I have read, keep up the good work, even to those who may not know I DO read it.

What ever a jig is, I'm not really sure. I stayed up WAY to late last night, when you have to get up at 5 AM, not going to bed till after midnight is not of the good. Why was I up so late???

Thats right, my boys came through again!!! MAN! I love watching Teddy play, not to mention Tom and all the others.

Super Bowl Sunday, got to love it, if your a football fan. The game, the food, the drinks, and dont forget the all important SB commercials, lol.

I wasnt overly impressed with them this year, but, if any of you saw it, the commercial with the cat and the spaghetti sauce, ROTFLMAO!

If so, you are now the parent of a child going to school in the 21st century. What does this mean? It means that the teacher you always hated is going to be back in your life. They will either have you child, or, they will wake you from a sound sleep by haunting your dream.

I didnt like school much the first time around, now I have to help my 8 year old with her work, AND!!! they have changed the rules!!

Gone is the math I learned, now they do it in some screwed up backwards way. It used to be simple, you add the ones, carry over if need be and add the tens!

ARGHHHHHHHHHH

Well, guess its a good thing I wasnt planning on going anywhere today. Let it snow NOT. I think we have enough now! Some of the drifts are kinda deep, and the car is now about 6 feet tall! At least I hope the car is still under all that white stuff. I cant even tell how deep the snow at the end of the driveway is, just know I hope my brother comes over sometime today to plow otherwise we are not getting out. So, looks like a day of web surfing for me, followed by a night of watching some football. Damn, only 3 more days of it this season!!!

Finally, its friday, have all the kiddies home, I drive a special needs bus in town, over 100 miles a day and I never once get out of town, kinda pathetic in a way. Its friday, only 2 more days till I get to watch my boys play again. The Patriots, got to love them. Well, love them as much as I can anyways, lol, without all the down and dirty.


I dont know about anyone else who might use lj, but it can be frustrating for newbies to work with. Oh well, guess I better go see what I can do.
